Overview of the job
We are seeking a personable receptionist to greet clients both face to face and on the telephone, in a warm and friendly manner. As many of our clients are experiencing a traumatic situation when they come to us, you will also need to have empathy, compassion, and a mature, professional approach.
You will perform the day to day running of the reception desk duties including some administration tasks. For this you will need to have a high level of efficiency, initiative, attention to detail and computer skills.

Volunteer Coordinator

About the role
The role will be located within a multidisciplinary team. The team consists of Solicitors, Financial Counsellor, Mental Health Practitioner, Community Worker and Family Advocate.
The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for:
Coordinating the volunteer programs in accordance with the business plan, funding guidelines and organisational policies and procedures;
Directing recruiting, training, supporting and recognising volunteers in order to maximise volunteer effectiveness and engagement;
Promoting the volunteer and legal placement programs by networking across a broad range of agencies; and Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, best practice and insurance is also a key component of the role.
The successful applicant will need to have relevant tertiary qualification(s) and a minimum of 3 years experience.
The position is part-time (0.8 FTE).

MANAGER OF OPERATIONS AND FINANCE
Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the Management Team the appointee will be responsible for end-to-end operations of the organisation across HR, finance, IT, governance and community engagement. Overseeing specialist officers across these operations, key areas of responsibility will include:

contributing to strategic planning and continuous improvement of service delivery;

financial management of CJSSA including annual budgets, acquittal of funding, and payments in conjunction with external finance consultants;

company secretarial matters and administrative support to the CJSSA Board;

compliance and risk management including accreditation as a Community Legal Centre, insurance and reporting obligations;

ensuring contemporary and effective people and culture practices including the CJSSA volunteer program.
This multi-dimensional role will suit an appropriately qualified and experienced professional keen to contribute at both strategic and operational levels in a vital community-facing, values based organisation. Applications are encouraged from candidates demonstrating sound experience in financial and corporate services management. Inclusive leadership style, effective communications and interpersonal skills, a focus on innovation and change and stakeholder engagement capability will be important to success. Experience in a not-for-profit or community focussed organisation will be well regarded.
