Free legal support to those affected by disasters

Funded by the Commonwealth and State governments, the Legal Services Commission (SA) and Community Legal Centres SA are putting lawyers on the ground to provide free assistance to individuals, small businesses and primary producers affected by 2019/2020 summer fires in:


  • the Adelaide Hills, 

  • parts of Yorke Peninsula

  • Kangaroo Island


This assistance is not means tested and is provided jointly by Community Legal Centres SA & the Legal Services Commission.

The outreach lawyers provide free legal advice, information and assistance to bushfire victims in the regions outlined above.

Legal advice and assistance is also available to residents impacted by the bushfires from the Coorong, Kingston SE, Mid Murray, Mount Barker, Murray Bridge and Southern Mallee council districts.
